My name is Charlie.  I am looking for a new LOVING home!  Amanda stepped up and took me on to try to help me find a new family. See, I came from a very loving and caring home with a super awesome mom. She got me when I was 8 wks old, and she was all I ever knew.  She did not want to give me up, but she had too because she was ill and couldn't take care of me let alone walk well anymore. I met Amanda at the vet clinic my mom took me too.  Amanda works there!   Amanda did a great job placing me with a family who loved me very much, but due to some health concerns they were unable to keep me.  Amanda loves me SO much that she sneaks me into her apartment every evening and would love to keep me, but her living arrangements are not dog friendly.  We have looked at a few places together that are dog friendly but it's very expensive. So...here we go! 

A little about me. I'm Charlie! I am a Boxer/rat terrier mix, neutered male, almost 7 yrs old, 48lbs, housebroken, crate trained, and house trained!  I LOVE walks, exploring, balls, toys, treats and to spend as much as I can with you!

In a perfect world I'd do best with an middle aged women who is just looking for a companion who enjoys company and walking.  I tend to lean more towards one person vs an entire family but I'm flexible. I don't mind other dogs.  In fact I did go to doggie daycare 1x a week with dogs my size.  I do best with low key dogs that don't need attention 'cuz I enjoy exploring more than playing.  I don't mind cats, I just like to sniff them.  I get excited to see kids.  I love when they read to me and kids that have low energy! I used to visit the old folk and nursing homes because they enjoyed my company! My mom had me in obedience classes too!

I sometimes get a tiny bit protective of my humans on leash walks, but I just need a minor correction to remind me and occasionally I bark at the window.  I used to play a game of keep away with wash clothes or rugs but my mom did it with me so please don't get upset. I will drop it if you ask!

Overall, I am a good boy who just wants my forever family! Does anyone think they'd love to be my new FURever?!!! Or know anyone willing to step up to foster!
