Jackie is a super sweet dog who is most happy when she has someone to cuddle with! She was surrendered to Safe Haven by her owner of 7 years because she has separation anxiety and if left alone in the house she can get destructive and his current work schedule just doesn't allow for him to care for her anymore. Jackie gets along with other dogs, but should not be trusted around cats. She doesn't do well around little kiddos, but older more calm kids are fine.
Jackie is on the thin side at just 32 pounds, but seems to be a good eater - so we are hoping to help her gain some weight - although her nervous energy may prevent her from keeping weight on, especially while living at the shelter. So we are hoping to find her a great new home quickly, one where she won't have to be left alone very often but has somewhere to help keep her safe while her owners are gone...because she does not like to be crated. She has been getting along okay in her kennel at Safe Haven, so maybe a new home that has a kennel for her to be safe in while her family is away for short periods would be just what she needs. We just know this sweet dog has a perfect family match out there somewhere - a family looking for a dog that just wants to cuddle and lounge around the home with them!
