Who doesn't love Chocolate?! This big fella is named Kegan and his owner had health problems and had to move out of state - so she made tough decision to find him a new family.  Kegan lived the first part of his life inside his home, but most of his adult life was spent living outside in a kennel. He has adjusted quite well to living back inside while at Safe Haven, and does a pretty good job at keeping his kennel clean, but may still need a refresher course on house training.  Kegan seems to LOVE everyone he meets.....so "watchdog" probably isn't in his future! :)  however if you're looking for a true companion pet  - Kegan may be the perfect dog for you!

He is a smart dog, but he also does tend to have a stubborn streak - so he will need someone with patience and consistancy to work with him on basic dog obedience so that he can be the awesome dog that he has the potential to become.  Kegan has lived with another dog in the past and seems to enjoy other dogs, but has been known to chase cats, so we assume it is best to have a home without cats.
