Safe Haven of Iowa County

This little sweetheart is Rosa - she is a perfect medium size dog, weighing in at 30 pounds.  We honestly have no idea what breed(s) she is  - she has stumped us all!  It is always a fun game trying to guess what dogs like Rosa may be a mix of.....she has the cutest little face and tipped ears, along with her fluffy black coat and long tail that curls up toward her back.  In addition to the thoughts of Patterdale Terrier and Border Collie, other possibilities that have been mentioned is Kelpie, Swedish Lapphund, and Schipperke. 

What we do know is that Rosa has stolen the hearts of anyone that has met her, and we cannot figure out how she came to be a stray in the Iowa County Pound.  She was found 1 mile west of Marengo, and spent 3 days waiting for her family to claim her. Rosa seems to be house-trained and is just a great all around dog.  She will be spayed this week on June 10th, and if her family still hasn't claimed her by the 13th - Rosa will be available to adopt and move on to her new forever home.
