Safe Haven of Iowa County

Floyd came to Safe Haven as a stray - but it was clear he had a rough life for a bit before he made it to Safe Haven. He is a very loving dog, and somehow has never held a grudge against humans - even though it is obvious they had disappointed him in his prior life. He came in on August 6th - very thin, and full of fleas.  He has made a fantastic recovery and is now healthy and looking great! Floyd will be ready for adoption by Saturday, Sept. 7th.  He would love a home where he can get lots of love and attention, and if he could have a few toys to play with, that would be great too! :) 

Floyd seems to be okay with a few other dogs at Safe Haven, but is not fond a couple others - so if you have other dogs in your family already, we will need to do a proper introduction and see how things go. Floyd can be very possessive of his food and treats, likely due to his lifestyle before he made it to Safe Haven, but he will need to be in a home that can properly handle this behavior.
