Robbie came to us as Robin, but that is a little formal for a dog as friendly as Robbie. He is really a sweetheart who was caught in a set of unfortunate circumstances. Or, I should say he was literally caught in a hurricane since he and his family were living on an island in the Caribbean when much of the infrastructure was destroyed by a hurricane. The family came to live with relatives in the Iowa City area and boarded Robbie during that time. When they went back to the Caribbean their housing did not allow them to have a dog, so they relinquished Robbie to the kennel, who relinquished to us. Our goal is to find this sweet dog a good home for his retirement years. In spite of his being shuffled around he seems to adjust quickly and take life in stride.
